Korean is the official language of North and South Korea.
The South Korean Flag is called TAE KUK.
Symbolic of the nation is the white background "the land", the circle "people", and the four trigrams "the government". These make up the essential elements of the nation:
The circle in the center represents the positive and the negative, Yang and Yin.
The four symbols in the corner of the flag:
Upper left: three unbroken lines symbolize Heaven
Lower right: three broken lines represent Earth
Upper right: two broken lines separated by an unbroken line is the symbol of Water
Bottom left: two unbroken lines separated by a broken line symbolize Fire
There are 24 letters in the Korean alphabet: 14 consonants and 10 vowels. The letters are combined together into syllable blocks. The shapes of the consonants "g/k, n, s, m" and "ng" are graphical representations of the speech organs used to pronounce them. Other consonants were created by adding extra lines to the basic shapes.
Even though most computers display Korean fonts properly, we deliver a PDF file of your translation so that you can compare it with the font on your computer to make sure the two are consistent. Formatting newsletters, brochure and other collateral in Korean requires an Asian operating system. Formatted files will be delivered as high resolution PDF files ready for printing.
